Alicia Machado is a beauty model, queen, actor and performer. Her birth name is Yoseph Alicia Machado at Maracay in Venezuela in December 6th 1976. Alicia has a variety of heritage with her father being Spanish, and her mother is of Cuban origin. She has been a major character in films, television and beauty contests all her existence. Machado's fame started when she was named Miss Venezuela in 1995 at the age of 19 as a representative of the State of Yaracuy. A year later, she became four-time Venezuelan woman to win Miss Universe 1996. In her time as Miss Universe however was marked by negative coverage in the media and controversy due to the fact that she put on weight.
