After high school, Lars was drafted into the military in which he completed his basic military service of nine months in the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. It wasn't the right choice for him to do, so he sought out something different after completing it , and decided to take a biology course. Anette who was employed by the military for one year, came home from a juggler's class to show Lars how she could juggle within just three days. Lars was impressed and was determined to try it also. He dropped out of the college to attend juggling classes. There he learnt fire breathing and juggling in addition to other things. After finishing high school, the student traveled across Europe with two other friends which included performances on the streets of Paris, Munich, Moscow, Warsaw, and other cities. He came across a circus for children the following year, and he learned both street and children's theatre , as and pantomime.
