Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News July of 2004, and has reported on many subjects, including investigations like the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings that occurred near Bailey, Colorado. Nair joined ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. The anchor was responsible for anchoring the live news broadcast, and also briefings for ABC's digital channels. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17, 2008 until February 18, 2011. In both programs, Nair worked initially in partnership with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she did not plan to appear in World News Now after Friday 18th February. Nair also announced that Friday would be her final day working for ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18 included three tributes to Nair. Both former and current colleagues also appeared in the segments. She lavished the team with an excellent breakfast at the end of her day.
