Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Anne W. Burrell is the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and eating at an early age. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't seem to get enough pleasure from it. After graduating, chef Burrell lived in Italy for a year, studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact from a culinary viewpoint. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She has been a frequent speaker at conferences and travels the country in her mentorship task. Anne often has mentioned throughout her professional career she's grateful to communicate with people what is most important for her.
